Job Summary
The Environmental Advisor will be the environmental focal point for Alarish’s UK operations providing the company with support and guidance regarding environmental compliance and the identification & management of environmental risks.
Being an active member of the HSSE team you will help deliver Alarish’s business objectives by ensuring the highest standards of environmental performance are maintained.
Occasional short duration offshore trips will be required.
Roles and responsibilities
Everyone working for or on behalf of Alarish Petroleum has the following responsibilities with regard to their work to:
- Familiarise with the Alarish Policies, including the policies on HSE, Risk Management and Major Hazards;
- Familiarise with the One Alarish Management System and its meaning for day-to-day work;
- Familiarise with the work and be aware of all associated risks for People, the Environment, Assets and Reputation (PEAR);
- Report any incident, near miss, hazards (unsafe acts/situations) and improvement suggestions;
- Know their roles and responsibilities;
- Actively participate in any job or HSEQ training or instruction by or on behalf of Alarish Petroleum;
- Use all provided means as intended and according to their purpose

Job specific skills and
knowledge
Essential
- Demonstrable experience with oil and gas environmental issues
- Familiar with the PETS system
- Offshore survival certification (or willingness to achieve this)
- Science degree (other backgrounds considered if supported with relevant experience)
Preferable
- Experience with atmospherics compliance; ETS & PPC
- Experience with EEMS
- A good working knowledge and experience in environmental related UK legislation (on and offshore) and industry best practices
- Previous experience as an Environmental Advisor for an offshore operator
